This dialogue discusses a range of topics necessary for a thorough understanding of Nigeria,s political, cultural and social environment. International IDEA,s methodology is simple, to assess the democracy in Nigeria. Dialogue and consultation needs to be applied to the people who matter the most, the Nigerians themselves. It is hoped that this report would enable the identification of Nigeria,s main democratic challenges and would provide guidance to both the national policy makers as well as assist international donors to better target their international assistance and democracy support policies for Nigeria.
