A GTZ Working Group on Self-help promotion was established in Sri Lanka at the end of 1994. This organisation came into being due to the fact that the GTZ’s project based approach in Sri Lanka had come under critical analysis. Therefore, in order to reorganise its projects and shift to a more coordinated, longer term programme approach, it came into being. This volume provides a report on the workshop of self-help promotion in Sri Lanka.
