This article focuses on the impact of infrastructure and privatisation projects on the displaced people and what they have to go through. Even though infrastructure projects provide livelihood opportunities for the community, some people are displaced from their homes, lands and crops. Losing their homelands create problems including food security issues that lead to the inaccessibility of nutritious food which impacts their earnings drastically. These factors negatively contribute to poor health conditions and wellbeing causing underweight children and malnutrition. Displacement, thus, negatively impacts on the society which needs serious consideration so that negative impacts can be minimised.
