Malnutrition is a widespread health problem in Sri Lanka. The report looks deeply into the nature of malnutrition and how it affects people’s lives. The quantity and quality of food that households receive is an important factor that is also discussed in this report. It looks at the causes and trends in malnutrition by referring to statistics from over the years. It discusses the levels of stunting, wasting and underweight in great detail and also looks at the problem with regard to where households are geographically placed. The report uses charts to clearly express the information which makes it very easy for the reader to understand the nature of malnutrition in Sri Lanka.
