This paper is a theoretical discussion and literature survey that explores the quality of women,s employment in South Asia and African regions. It examines the key determinants that influence the links between gender and employment, the economic factors that increase women,s participation in the labour force and the relationship between such factors and the quality of employment. Addressing these issues, set the stage for the investigation of measures to reduce low quality employment. This paper proves that this exercise will bring out the importance of enhancing the quality of women,s work.
