The Sri Lanka Case Study on “Good Practices to prevent women migrant workers from going into exploitative forms of labour” was prepared on guidelines provided by the International Labour Organization (ILO). The case study comprises eight sections; introduction providing an overview of migration; the legislative framework; government policies and programmes on migration; private initiatives for migrant workers; government initiatives related to returnees; private initiatives related to returnees; the institutional framework and recommendations
